Home extension in Whitchurch. Built around one special member of the family!
You may look at these images and wonder why there is a gap under the two storey side extension. It was deliberately incorporated into the design to accommodate a much loved member of the family. The camper van! It was a stipulation of the original design brief. The architectural drawings and the end build give a treasured family item a safe place to stay in between trips!
This is quite a substantial addition to the family home. There is a two storey rear extension to the side and a single storey extension to the rear of the property. There will be various internal structural alterations to accommodate a new bathroom, two new bedrooms, kitchen, additional living space and, of course, parking allocation for the camper van.
A room with no door.
As considerate builders, we try to keep the disruption to a minimum. Where possible, we will complete as much of the work as possible before adding in any though ways to the new space. This means the family can live in the original part of the house with less disruption to daily life.
The camper van gets the best treatment of all, being safely parked away elsewhere during the build.
Home extension in Whitchurch. Work on the internal structure.
The exterior of this major house extension is complete. This is the stage where we break into the original structure to create the new living spaces. Some rooms will be extended into this space to create new living space and to extend the kitchen. On the upper floor, new plaster work is already complete as we move onto decorating the new bedroom.
